Wei (Natalie) Luo is an applied microeconomist and works as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Jinan University (Guangzhou, China) since 2022. She earned her Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and previously held a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
Her research interests lie at the intersection of development, public, and labor economics. Specially, she is interested in: (1) the partial or general equilibrium effects of public policies. (2) labor market and demographic consequences of technological change (e.g. industrial robots and AI). (3) family economics, especially gender inequality and gender-related social norms.
