Wei (Natalie) Luo is an applied microeconomist. Currently, she works as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Jinan University (Guangzhou, China). Prior to this, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Business School, the University of Hong Kong (HKU). She obtained her Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
Her research interests lie at the intersection of development, public, and labor economics. Specially, she is interested in: (1) the partial or general equilibrium effects of public policies. (2) labor market and demographic consequences of global trade and technological change. (3) family economics, especially gender inequality and gender-related social norms.
