Wei (Natalie) Luo is an applied microeconomist and works as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Jinan University in Guangzhou, China. She earned her Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is also a fellow of the Global Labor Organization (GLO).
Her research focuses on institutions, technological change, and economic development, with a particular focus on: 1) how institutions shape labor market and household dynamics, and the formation of informal institutions; 2) the welfare effects of technology adoption, such as industrial robots and agricultural technologies.
